this adventure

how we began

Photography brought us together. I started photographing weddings in 2007. Nicole had an interest in learning photography, so a mutual friend suggested that she contact me. We met up for coffee, realized we had a lot in common, and the rest was history. Since then, Nicole and I have traveled all over the country photographing couples in love on their wedding day. Whether we are at home in Detroit or in another country, every wedding is a unique adventure. We absolutely love what we do!

our style

our way

we do it

Our style and approach changes with each wedding because the weddings we shoot are all so drastically different. It's very organic and documentary in nature. We draw inspiration from the couple, the environment, and the wedding day to create our images. Your wedding will be 80% candid and 20% directed. We love putting our couples in beautiful light, building a foundation for a story, and allowing the couple to deconstruct it by being themselves. It creates stunning images that captures an emotion without feeling posed.

FAQ

"all day coverage"?

How long is

All day coverage means you'll have me for the entire wedding day up until 10:00pm or end of formalities (i.e. speeches, dances, etc..). You can add more time if you have something special planned for the night, such as a sparkler send off or a special event. However, most of the excitement of a wedding tends to wind down around 10:00pm. I am also not the type of photographer who will look at his watch and say "Ope! that's 10:00pm! See ya!". I understand that nothing ever goes as planned on a wedding day and I will make sure we capture everything that is planned the day!

second photographer?

Do i need a

I can photograph a typical wedding day myself without the need of a second photographer. With careful planning, communication, and a well thought out timeline, there is no need for a second photographer. However, if you and your fiance are planning on getting ready in two different locations or have something unique planned that requires an additional photographer, you can most certainly add a second photographer. Price options include morning only or all day coverage. Having a rough-draft timeline ready for your pre-wedding consultation will help answer this question.

should my photographer start?

What time

I love photographing details and candids, so of course I'll be there when you are getting ready in the morning! I typically suggest finding out how much time you will need with hair and makeup and that will determine what time I will start. I will usually arrive an hour or two before you're about to hop into your dress or tie your tie, giving me plenty of time to photograph all the in between moments and details. Guys are super easy and typically only need 15 -20 minutes to get ready. Plan your morning routine and be sure to include it on your wedding day timeline.

your rates?

What are

Initial wedding investments begin at $2800. I'd love to know the details of your wedding day to tailor suit the coverage so you are getting the best out of our photography services. Please contact us for pricing and availability. Please be sure to tell us more about what makes your wedding day special. The more we know, the better!

our wedding date?

Can you hold

Yes, provided we’ve received a signed contract and retainer. Due to the number of inquiries we receive and the busy nature of wedding seasons, we cannot hold potential dates. If you’re interested in hiring us, please do so as soon as possible!

should we book you?

how far in advance

Most of our clients book us six months to two years in advance, while others manage with a few months. Either way, the earlier you inquire, the more likely it is we are available. We take a select few wedding clients in order to give each one the best possible experience – so if you want to be one of them, don’t delay!
